NOTICE: For Safety - High School and Middle School student drop-off and afterschool pick-up (All Grade) will be in front of the Conner Middle School Entrance behind the High School - NOTE: The Loop is Always One-way, ENTRY is at the Northeast end and EXIT is on the Southwest end (Follow signage and traffic instructions). Student Drivers park in front of Gym (Permit Required).
We are so very proud of McGehee Elementary School, which has been named a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School awardee! This is a very prestigious national award from the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C.
The award was presented to MES for being an exemplary school in closing the achievement gap. We are so excited to celebrate with staff, students, parents, and our community!

The prestigious 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Linda Tullos, MSD Superintendent; Mrs. Elizabeth Robinson, MES Principal; and Ms. Ashton Cox, MES Literacy Facilitator are in Washington, to receive McGehee Elementary School’s National Blue Ribbon award. Hi everyone,
I have some exciting news to share on behalf of our athletic program. Together with Hudl, we plan to offer a livestream of every home varsity game played in the gym or on our field.
If you can attend our games, we encourage you to do so. We want to give people who can’t physically attend our games the ability to tune in and support Owl athletics. With our livestream, working parents, faraway family members, alumni, and anyone else who wants to watch can support our athletes.
We will be selling pay-per-view passes on an annual, monthly, and single-game basis. A single-game pass will be $8, a monthly pass will be $15, and a yearly pass will be $75. These prices are intended to be similar to the costs of attending the game.
By offering fans the ability to watch our games through a high-level broadcast, we’re hoping to earn critical revenue for our athletic program that helps us [buy new uniforms/equipment, etc.] Thank you for your support in helping us reach that goal.

Student learning is a shared responsibility between schools and parents. Technology is transforming how and where students learn. The classroom has been extended to any location with an internet connection. As students spend more time learning and socializing online, we all need to work together to ensure our students stay healthy and safe. The Social Media Awareness Campaign (SMACtalk) was formed in response to this need. The purpose of SMACtalk is to bring awareness, provide resources, and increase communication for teachers, parents, and students.
